Roof Heat Proofing Cooltech -Application Methods

CT Plus '100

Clean the roof on which you wish to apply the coating, ensure that dust, oil, grease or any other stain is not left on the roof, it is better to wash the roof for best performance.If you wash the roof, then only use water as any detergent isn’t required. The cleaning of roof is necessary, if it is not done properly, the coating might peel off. Add water into the bucket as per our water addition ratio guide, and then stir the brush thoroughly before applying. Apply the first coat of CT Plus '100 in this manner that after it is dried, proper hiding is achieved. Apply the second coat of CT Plus '100 once the first coat is properly dried. The coating dries in 2 hours but for better results try to avoid using the roof for first 24 hours.

CT Advance '30 & CT Total '20

The coating dries in 2 hours but for better results try to avoid using the roof for first 24 hours.

Aqua Guard '220

Clean the roof on which you wish to apply Aqua Guard ’220, ensure that dust, oil, grease or any other stain is not left on the roof, it is better to wash the roof for best performance. If you wash the roof, then only use water as any detergent isn’t required. The cleaning of roof is necessary, if it is not done properly, Aqua Guard ’220 might peel off. Apply the first coat of Aqua Guard ’220 using a brush. Then apply the second after the first coat is dried. It is recommended that for application over highly porous areas, a minimum of 3 coats are applied.

COOLTECH Butyl Waterproof Sealing Tape

The surfaces to be sealed must be dry, capable of bearing load and free from grease and dust. Remove all loose dust and dirt with a wire brush and soft broom from the area of application Unroll and cut Bitumen Flashing Tape to the required length. Peel the backing strip and apply the adhesive side onto the prepared substrate. Smooth down using a roller or gentle fingertip pressure to prevent air pockets and creases, and to ensure a good tight seal. It is very important to press down the edges and ends of the tape.
